The Regional Resource Centre

The Regional Resource Centre is where Beamish Museum and Tyne and Wear Museums look after their collections. The centre is free to people of all ages and interests. You can make an appointment to use the Search Room or Collections Study Room to view:

● Reference Library
● Trade Catalogue Collection
● Audio History Archive
● Object Collections

The Resource Centre has been built in two phases over a period of 5 years and has been achieved thanks to a number of grants from the sponsors listed below. Staff from both Beamish and Tyne & Wear Museums have moved thousands of objects from poor storage conditions, and the work continues.
